A limited number of DELUXE rooms have been booked at a special rate for conference participants at the following hotels.  All three hotels (Meridien Versailles, Chateau Versailles, and Days Inn) are within a 10-15 minute walking distance to the conference venue.

$119.00 + taxes (Canadian) for 2 Queen beds (non-smoking) for single/double occupancy: ($10.00 for each additional person)

 

Taxes: The applicable taxes are $3.00 and 5% GST plus 7.5% PST (Subject to change in accordance with Government laws).

 

Parking is available at $15.00 (taxes included) per day

 

Breakfast: Full American Buffet Breakfast is available for $13.95 + taxes per person

 

Cancellation policy: 30 days prior to arrival date

 

Reservations for the Days Inn:

 

Reservations for the Days Inn are to be made directly with the hotel, using a credit card, by TELEPHONE ONLY, by phoning a toll-free phone number (open 24 hours): 1-800-567-0880. In case the line is occupied, they can also reserve by phoning another toll-free number: 1- 877- 365 - hotel.

 

You must mention the GROUP CODE in order to receive the group rate, which may be provided upon registration for the conference.

Le Meridien Versailles-Montréal and Chateau Versailles

Price (special group rate):

$159.00 + taxes (Canadian) – for either single or double occupancy.

 

Taxes: The applicable taxes are $3.00 and 5% GST plus 7.5% PST (Subject to change in accordance with Government laws).

 

Room options:

  • You may request a deluxe room with two double beds, a room with one king-sized bed, or a room with one queen – sized bed (based on availability).
  • Upgraded rooms are available at an additional cost

 

Breakfast is not included at Le Meridien, however, there is a restaurant located within the hotel (Le Brontë). The cost of a breakfast is either $14.95 (continental buffet) or $17.25 (full breakfast).  Taxes (14%) and tips are not included.

Student Accommodations

 

Latest news on UQAM Accommodations:


Aug. 13/08: As of today, there are still 25 places left at the UQAM residences, at 2100 St. Urbain street, between Sherbrooke St. and  Blvd. de Maisonneuve (near metro Place des Arts).  However, the residences at the UQAM residences on René-Levesque are now full.

 

Student accommodations are available at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) Residence for the week of August 18th:

The UQAM Residence is approximately 2.6 km (5 Métro stops) from the ICFHR Conference Venue. It is located near the Berri-UQAM Métro station and is easily accessible from Montreal train, and bus stations.


A limited number of “Studio” rooms (one double bed with bathroom) are available. Rooms can be booked as follows:

  3. In Section 1 of the form, select “Studio” for the type of room

Price:

$65.00 + taxes (Canadian) for one Studio room (one double bed with bathroom)

 

Taxes: 5% GST plus 7.5% PST (Subject to change in accordance with government laws).

 

Parking: There is underground parking on Christin street, which is located one block away from the residence hotel, between St-Denis street & Sanguinet street, at a cost of approximately $10.00 per day plus $10.00 per night.

 

Breakfast: is not included but there is a restaurant “Les Merveilles de Madagascar” and a dépanneur (convenience store) in the residence hotel.

 

Cancellation policy: Once a booking is made, the first night is NOT refundable, but the following nights are refundable.
